I never thought I would end up working with chocolate. I entered the industry in 1999. In my chocolate company that I want to be recognised as the “Bentley of chocolate”, I always try to innovate, which is why I consider Luker Chocolate the ideal partner. For example, I use its product to manufacture my line of functional chocolates: a combination of cocoa with proteins such as collagen that as well as tasting great, help to maintain healthy skin, nails and hair.
We are a Japanese chocolate factory founded in 1983. We produce luxury chocolates that are not sold in conventional shops and supermarkets.
We came across Luker Chocolate a few years ago through a distributor and became interested in its chocolate. When we approved its flavour, we travelled to Colombia and were impressed by operations at Granja Luker, so much so that two years ago we bought our own cocoa plantation, which is now managed by the company.
We are very excited to say that by the time this book will be published, we will already have had our first harvest.
Ten years ago, my wife and I founded our business. It all began when I was a chef and my wife was pregnant. Back then she made wedding favours and I made the chocolate truffles to go with them. We began at our kitchen table and little by little we grew until we had to turn our garage into a kitchen. Now we have an 11.613 m. factory that produces chocolate bars for a number of clients in the UK.
I tried Luker Chocolate for the first time in a fair in Europa, in what for us was our first contact with South American chocolate. I’m very thankful to the company because when I contacted it, I was told that I should come and see the company with my own eyes. So they invited me to Colombia, and the visit truly opened my eyes. Luker Chocolate has a very friendly atmosphere and thanks to its example I am now convinced that I have to do the same in my company: create a friendly and peaceful atmosphere. I want all my employees to go to work happy and meet their friends there.
